mood: sad sad

So um, I'm moving back to New Zealand. I just got too homesick and there was family stuff and... ok, so the band wasn't making any money and we were getting too broke and it was too expensive to stay. I've talked things over with Jeanne-Marie and we aren't going to do the long distance thing. We decided it together.

I move in a week, bye I guess. If you wanna help me pack or something, I'll be around until then.

OOC: With this post I'm shutting down this journal. Thanks to all who played with me and Jemaine! Twas fun!

Bret got me these socks for Christmas. I know we're poor, but I don't want those. They're ugly. It's a good thing Santa Claus could still find us. He always gives good things. Santa gave me a blanket, a tv for the bedroom, and a dvd. I can't tell what the movie is about. I think it's about Black Sabbath.

Jean-Paul is in New Zealand right now. I'm jealous. My apartment is dumb, the sink doesn't even work. I miss flatting. I missed the Tri-Nations. We won, but it's not the same if you can't even follow it properly. Heinz is not the same as Wattie's, I don't care what people say.

I'm grumpy now. I'm going back to sleep. I even miss that dumb jingle I put as the subject line. Does anyone know a plane I can sneak on?

What Do You Wear To Bed?

According to our experts, you wear :

Shirt and Underwear

It's easy and it's convenient and nothing beats just your t-shirt and underwear

What do you wear to bed? Find out at Quizopolis.com

I want to know how they know this. If people, I mean Mel, are still spying on me with a webcam I'm going to be frightened. I think I already am. If any of you in Friendslist Land are spying on me I want a confession!

Freudian Slip

Jul. 8th, 2008 | 05:32 pm
mood: indescribable indescribable

OOC: So good news! I do have the internet, but I will probably have spurts of activity at times and and will really lag at other times due to my schedule and also being on crappy dial up. Please try to bear with me and I apologise in advance for any inconvenience.

So, um, yeah. I say a lot of things. Like "what". It's my favorite word. And "yeah". It's my second favorite. But sometimes I say things that I don't think I said but they come out anyway and people look at me like "huh?" Does that make sense? I think it did.

There was this one time I looked at Bret and I meant to ask him if he'd seen my pair of orange and green dragon socks but instead I asked him why he ate the last of the wheel of cheese. I think I yelled that. It was awkward. I think he quit the band again after that. Then the next day I gave him one of Dave's "Off the hook", whatever that means, samosas and he was all happy again.

Oh yeah, and when I typed day up there just a second ago I accidentally typed Dave because I was just talking about his food. That's a Freudian slip, right? But I only typed that because they were his samosas. I don't think he's my father, I don't want to kill him, and I certainly don't want to sleep with him. That's gross. And gay.

OOC: Jem's going home!

Jun. 25th, 2008 | 12:52 am
mood: giddy giddy

I leave for New Zealand tomorrow!!!!!! As of now I'll be there until November 8, but that may change if I decide to travel longer. My internet access will be very limited so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to rp. I'll try to get on when I can, but I wanted to let you all know. I'll still be checking my email and lj, but I don't know how often or how soon I can once I get there. I think I'm gonna be camping around Auckland for two weeks for orientation before heading to Wellington. Bit of trivia: the real Jemaine is from Wellington and met Bret at Victoria University which is where I'll be attending!

This is where I'm going:

BAHAHAHA! Be jealous.

Short meme from Jean-Paul

May. 29th, 2008 | 09:29 pm
mood: melancholy melancholy

I've come to realize the last person who held my hand... is a baby. Bret held my hand the other day when he wanted to go on a roller coaster and was scared. Baby baby baby.

I am listening to... Jack Johnson - Sitting, Waiting, Wishing

I am wearing... these because they're ironic. It's funny.

My best friend... is never home anymore.

Is someone thinking of you right now? I hope so, but probably not.

I woke up this morning... I didn't. I hope up at 4pm.

Before I go to bed at night... I use the toilet.

Right now I am thinking about... penguins.

Babies are... really small, but really big to be inside a person.

Today... I asked for some shark and greasies at a Long John Silver's. They looked at me like I was crazy. Why? That's what they serve!

Tonight I will... hopefully be spending time with Jeanne-Marie.

Tomorrow I will... be going to Band Meeting.

I really want... a record deal and for Mel to stop stalking us and a banana.

5. Post this in your journal so others can ask you.

"Do not the most moving moments of our lives find us without words?" Marcel Marceau

Apr. 9th, 2008 | 11:47 pm
mood: blank blank

Um, no, they don't. Just recently Bret gave me the silent treatment. I don't like it when he does that. We're best mates, and bandmates too. How can someone who sings in a band take a vow of silence? That's just stupid. I don't even know what I did, but I bet he thinks I did something wrong. I'm pretty sure silent treatments are supposed to be punishments.

So I think I'm supposed to apologize for whatever it was to make him talk to me again. How do I apologize for something when I don't even know what he's (not) talking about? I decided to buy him a big box of Red Delicious apples since they are his favorites. Hopefully he'll be so happy with them that he forgets he's upset. Bret likes boxes too.

And wasn't Marcel Marceau a mime? How could he even say this quote in the first place? Mimes don't talk.

Mad

Mar. 29th, 2008 | 01:19 pm
mood: angry angry

I have learned that many times in this country people use the word "mad" to say that they are angry. If that if true, then I am mad and I have lots of reasons why. I will commence listing them... now.

I'm mad because:
My friends forget about me.
Everyone forgets about me.
Bret forgets about me.
Our band hasn't been signed.
The pinkie on my left hand is crooked.
I found a scratch and sniff sticker, and I scratched and sniffed it but it didn't smell like anything.
I have a stalker.
People won't let the stupid "Jemaine went to jail" thing go.
Cartoons weren't on this morning and an infomercial was on instead. It was about blenders. Then I wasted four hours of my life watching a show about blenders.
Bret eats too loudly.
I ate the last of our cheese.
I think the fruit vendor passed along his racism to his daughter.
I tripped on the sidewalk.
There was a cloud in the sky that looked like a frowny face.
People still don't know Bret and I are from New Zealand.
Even more don't know I'm part Maori.
The zoo isn't open today. It's a Saturday!
I lost my brown socks. They're my business socks.

OOC: For those of you who don't know, Jemaine-mun WILL be living in New Zealand later this year! Woot!

Easter!

Mar. 24th, 2008 | 10:36 am
mood: artistic artistic

I had a great Easter! I went to church to see Jeanne-Marie sing and she was positively brilliant! Anyone who didn't go missed out.

Because I was so happy I took the Easter egg test. I'm not certain that it's entirely accurate, but it seems ok for the most part.

What Your Easter Egg Says About You

You are incredibly introspective and thoughtful.

You strive to understand the world in a deep way.

Culture, art, and literature of all types interests you.

Almost anything can get you thinking. You don't take anything at face value.

Stolen from Theresa

1. What bill do you hate paying the most? Why?
The grocery bill because it reminds me of when I went to jail and it's embarrassing.

My flat where I cooked. I like cooking because I get to wear one of those "Kiss the Cook" aprons and then Jeanne-Marie kisses me.

3. Do you regret losing your virginity to who you lost it to?
No, because I lost it and it was AWESOME.

4. If you could go back and change one thing what would it be?
That we didn't hire Murray as a manager. All he does is waste our money. I hope he doesn't see this...

Not eating a piece of paper to see what it tastes like...

7. What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Record party: Jemaine

Mar. 14th, 2008 | 06:57 pm
mood: restless restless

OOC: What? It's only been two days and I've supposedly missed this already? :/ Now I kinda feel  left out but I'll have Jem post anyway.

Jemaine had only come because Jean-Paul had asked him to. It's not that he didn't like making new friends, he did, but he would be the first to admit that he was lacking in certain areas of social grace. Thankfully Senator Kelly decided to come to the party too. This meant that Jemaine was only the second oldest person in the room. That didn't really mean much other than that he probably avoided a few, but probably not all, old man jokes.

When it was his turn, Jemaine stood up from his seat in the back of the room and immediately stumbled over his feet. After regaining his balance and standing back up again, he brushed off his worn, boot-cut jeans and adjust his glasses nervously. Anything to stall. Why did he decide that this was a good idea anyway?

"Um," he began rather eloquently, holding up a stiff hand on the side of his face in a manner of greeting. "I'm Jemaine. Most of you probably don't know me, but my band played at the Island-Gala-Ball Thing." He was about as nervous as he had been that same night too. A constricting feeling of his chest tightening didn't help the heart that threatened to leap out of his chest.

"Jean-Paul told me to only pick one album. So I did. I'm sorry I don't have more like some of the rest of you. Anyway... One of my favorites is Ben Folds. A big reason why I like him is because he's a lot like our band. He's kind of a silly person with silly songs, but he also have really good lyrics and some very sad songs too. He can write about anything. That is kind of what I would like our band to be: small, but with lyrics people don't expect, pleasant sound, and a decent fanbase."

"The album I picked is The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner by Ben Folds Five, the band Ben had before going solo. I picked two songs to show the range of what Ben can do and what I want to do and.. yeah." He promptly cut himself off by shoving the cd in the stero and playing Army first, then Don't Change Your Plans.

I STOLE from my girlfriend... a quiz thing

Mar. 10th, 2008 | 04:43 pm
mood: relaxed relaxed

Your Score: Pooh

You scored 12 Ego, 13 Anxiety, and 15 Agency!

"What do you like doing best in the world, Pooh?"

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best?" and then he had
to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very
good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to
eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know
what it was called.

You scored as Pooh!

ABOUT POOH: Pooh is a bear of Very Little Brain but quite a lot of heart. He enjoys the simple things in life, like visiting friends (in time for lunch), counting honey pots, and going for nice walks. He is a steadfast and loyal friend, and is often much brighter than he thinks he is.

WHAT THIS SAYS ABOUT YOU: You are a positive and calm sort of person, and you tend to go with the flow. When things go wrong, you generally find the most practical solution and put things right, with very little worry or fuss. You are a rock that your friends can lean on in times of trouble.

Your attitude towards life is very Zen. You appreciate the small things in life, while still managing not to sweat the small stuff. Your biggest flaw is your tendency to underestimate yourself. You are actually much smarter and more capable than you think you are.
